1. Information We Collect

When you use Bloom, we collect information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Family information: child names, dates of birth or due dates, and other details you choose to share about your family.
• Shopping data: product preferences, registry items, and purchase history when you link retail accounts (Target, Amazon).
• Calendar data: free/busy availability from linked Google Calendar accounts. We access only availability, not event details.
• Forwarded emails: emails you forward to your Bloom address are processed to extract event details (dates, locations, action items). Raw email content is deleted after extraction.
• Calendar screenshots: processed on-device to extract free/busy time blocks. The image is deleted immediately after processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide personalized recommendations based on your children's ages, sizes, and needs.
• Track product prices and notify you of deals on items you're watching.
• Coordinate scheduling between family members.
• Send reminders for appointments, reorders, and upcoming milestones.
• Improve our service through aggregated, anonymized usage data.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

• With your family members: only the information you choose to share through coordination features. Partners see overlapping availability, not your calendar details.
• Service providers: we use third-party services (hosting, email delivery, analytics) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Child profile data is encrypted at rest with additional access controls. Calendar screenshots are processed on-device and never transmitted to our servers on iOS.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information at any time in Settings.
• Disconnect linked accounts (Google Calendar, Target, Amazon) at any time.
• Request a full export of your data.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting support@mybloomfamily.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Bloom is designed for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Child profile data (names, ages, sizes) is provided by parents and stored under the parent's account.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Analytics tracking is disabled in development environments and only active in production. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of Bloom after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
